    Hello everyone. I am looking forward to starting this programme, developing my skills and getting to know other members of the RMA community.

    I have been working in a research office for just over a year – having spent approx 14 years working on the teaching side of the fence – what’s everyone else’s background?

    Hi Claire – I’ve been working in my current position (Research Development Officer) for just under a year, but my previous roles include Scholarly Communications and Departmental Research Support (and going back a bit further, academic publishing). What subject/age group did you teach?

    Hi Sarah,

    I didn’t teach – I was in HE administration, looking after teaching activity rather than research research activity.

    I’ve worked pretty much across the whole student life cycle, from recruitment to award.

    So the landscape I’m working in now is pretty different!
