    Dear All,

We are in the process of developing a new due diligence policy for research with overseas partners, and I wonder if you would be willing to share any ‘top tips’ on what has worked well, or what has not worked so well. For example:

    – How much due diligence do you do pre-award? How much is too much?
    – Who does the online checks – the PI or the research office – and does this work well?
    – Do you use the UKRI questionnaire for post-award due diligence, and if so, in what circumstances, who assesses it, and how useful is the information provided?
    – Do you have a bespoke panel for due diligence, and how do you ensure that a panel decision is forthcoming before the start date of a grant?

Any other advice on what works and what doesn’t would also be much appreciated!

    Many thanks,
    Katja
