Chris leads on Impact and Policy Engagement in the Impact Team, reporting to the Head of Research Services, and co-ordinates and optimises the impact supply of the expertise of University academics with Whitehall and Westminster demand. His remit is to prepare for the next REF cycle, in addition to policy engagement, grant capture, and the link to external communications material and exemplars for teaching. He was also responsible for over half of the Impact Case Studies and Environment Statements the University submitted to the 2021 REF and was lead author of the institutional Impact Strategy, approved by the Vice Chancellor and University Research Committee.
