Joe assumed the role of Head of Regional Engagement – East Midlands at the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council in 2021 having previously held a number of research and research support roles at the University of Nottingham. Most recently he led the Research Development Team, supporting the universities research base and development of grants to a variety of funders and schemes. As a Head of Regional Engagement Joe is seeking to better understand the regions research strengths, needs and challenges and consider the intersection between research and place.
