Why Facilitation for Successful Collaboration?

Initiating and managing multi stakeholder and multi institutional  collaborations are an important aspect of every Research Manager’s role  and with the complex global challenges and uncertain times – this is going to require even better facilitation skills.

We know that you are having to work more closely with academic colleagues across your own, and other institutions as well as key stakeholders from industry, civic partners and community based organisations. This means you are having to become more adept at bringing together the right people with different expertise and perspectives to build the right collaborations that will go on to win research funding.

So we are keen to help you!

Facilitation for Successful Collaboration will focus on giving you the skills and approaches you need to enable all these different stakeholders to collaborate together and have meaningful discussions, develop novel ideas and engage in a way that delivers the outputs you need.

This programme  is designed to give you the time and opportunity to reflect on your own experiences, learn from hearing the experiences of others and to give you simple frameworks and practical tools that you can  tailor to your context and apply in both virtual and face-to-face settings.

How will the programme work?

We will send you a pre-programme questionnaire.

A series of five 2 hour online modules over the course of 5 weeks.

Time between modules to apply your learning to your own real-world collaborative meetings – developing a plan over the course of the programme.
