Tom is a Senior Associate at law firm CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP, working closely with research organisations on contracts and other aspects of law. Prior to working in private practice, he spent over a decade working in research offices covering research contracts and research compliance (including trusted research), latterly as the Head of Research Contracts and Research Compliance at the University of Bristol. Tom qualified as a lawyer via CILEX while working in a Research Contracts Team, and later dual qualified as a solicitor. Tom has interests in access to careers in contracts and law, improving legal education, use of legal technology, and legal innovation (for example – exploring how we deliver contracts, not just the content of them). He aims to make at least one Star Wars reference in every session (subtlety not guaranteed).
