Financial sustainability survey

The financial sustainability of research remains a real concern and ARMA has now established a Task and Finish Group to better understand the impact on members and our institutions. We hope our work will

• Contribute to gaps in the evidence needed by funders and policy makers
• Improve our dialogue with funders on this topic
• Feedback into the training that ARMA provides to support members grappling with these challenges

The data generated by our short survey which we undertook in summer 2024 was a valuable first step but the situation is evolving constantly. We would like to seek your feedback again to explore what has changed since and give the most up to date picture to funders. There are two new questions in areas where funders are particularly keen to get input from the HEIs.

ARMA members are uniquely placed to share what is happening in our own institutions now so please do respond to this short survey which should take 5mins of your time. The survey is open to ARMA members and non-members from all research institutions so please do forward on to colleagues. The more responses we get the more representative our findings will be.  All views expressed will be anonymous and only shared in aggregated form with government, stakeholders and members.
