Al Taylor is Head of Policy – Impact, Research and Innovation Resilience in UKRI. His work focuses on system-level understanding of the financial sustainability and resilience of the UK’s R&I sector and the critical capabilities it supports. Grounded in in-depth data analysis and evidence, he and the team identify options to address financial sustainability issues that can be taken forward by UKRI, working together with sector stakeholders and Government. A research chemist by background, Al has previously worked at the Royal Society, and in KE and commercialisation roles at the University of Nottingham.
