New Editorial Working Group co-chairs announced

We are delighted to announce that Rupert Avis and Sarah Whalley have been appointed as the new co-chairs of the Editorial Working Group.

Dr Rupert Avis is Research Support Officer at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Previously, he worked in research development at the University of Wolverhampton. He holds a PhD in Ethnomusicology and ARMA’s Certificate in Research Management (Advanced).

Sarah Whalley is Interdisciplinary Research Development Manager at Queen’s University Belfast. She leads a strategic approach to growing the University’s interdisciplinary research funding. From 2015 – 2025, she worked in research management at Newcastle University. She holds a PhD in English and the APM Project Management Qualification.

Rupert and Sarah have taken over the role from Phil Ward, who completed his term in December 2025. Together, they will lead the working group in its objective to design and produce a topical and engaging online members’ magazine, ARMA Insights.
