Phil Ward
| I manage the Research Development Team, which keeps an eye on the wider research landscape, helps academics identify the most appropriate funding schemes for them, and supports them in drafting successful applications.
In addition I look after the Research & Innovation Board, the Directors of Research Network, the Grants Factory, ECR Network and the annual Research Prizes competition. More broadly I oversee communication within and beyond Research Services, including the Research Active newsletter, the website and fortnightly internal briefings. I also take the lead on interdisciplinary issues, including internal competitions for funding that limits the number of entrants from each university, as well as the Deputy Vice Chancellor’s discretionary funding. |
