Emma Davies joined the University of Manchester in 2025 as Research Development Manager working within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Her current role is focused on supporting academics with the development of strategic funding opportunities and associated external partnerships to assist the growth and implementation of the Faculty research and innovation strategy.  Prior to this role, Emma worked in research and knowledge exchange support at University of Staffordshire for over 20 years. Her previous role at Staffordshire involved central leadership responsibility for external bidding support activity, research policy and governance, REF coordination, research impact and researcher development. Emma is a former member of the ARMA Training and Development Working Group.
