ARMA’s Executive Office is responsible for the implementation of the Association strategy. The small but well-formed team has been put in place to make sure that our members get the most from being a part of our community. Skills within the team range from communications and events to financial management and qualifications support, and we’re always delighted to help answer your questions.
Dr Alasdair Cameron
Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Alasdair supports the Board and leads the Exec Office Team in delivering ARMA’s strategic plan.
Alasdair started his career in industry before moving into the HE sector. Prior to joining ARMA, he was Director of the West of Scotland KTP Centre and Director of Strategic Engagement with PraxisAuril.
When not working, Alasdair enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible.

James Dunphy
Head of Programmes
James oversees our professional development portfolio, including our training and development and qualifications programmes. He is also responsible for delivery of other strategic projects with partner organisations including the Research Libraries UK Research Catalyst Programme.

Jennifer Ellis
Conference and Major Events Manager
Jennifer leads the planning and delivery of ARMA’s flagship annual conference and other major events, including the ARMA Awards Ceremony and Research Leaders Forum. With a strong focus on creating outstanding delegate experiences, she oversees all aspects of event management. Working closely with the Conference Working Group, Jennifer ensures each event reflects ARMA’s commitment to professional development, community engagement and excellence in research management.
Jennifer spends her spare time reading, discovering new restaurants around Bristol and travelling to new destinations.

Amaka Nwagbara
Head of Membership Engagement
Amaka is responsible for ARMA’s membership, events, communications and marketing activities. She also oversees the delivery of its portfolio of membership services and benefits, including the special interest groups, annual conference and publications.

Lyndsey Pollock
Delivery Officer: Member Engagement
Lyndsey’s responsibilities include social media management and supporting both the Research Leaders Forum and annual ARMA Awards programme.
Outside of work, Lyndsey enjoys beach walks, searching for the perfect latte, and travelling to sunny climates.

Grace Rooney
Delivery Officer: Training and Development
Grace is responsible for the organisation, promotion, and delivery of ARMA’s training and development programme (online and face to face) and our mentoring programme for our members.
In her spare time Grace enjoys at-home pottery making, enjoying the Manchester music scene, and travelling to as many different places around the world as possible.

Nicole van der Westhuyzen
Delivery Officer: Member Engagement
Nicole will be your main contact for any membership related enquiries. She provides support to a range of activities related to our member offer such as our free member events, special interest groups, ARMA Insights magazine, weekly newsletter and website.
Nicole is originally from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She now lives in Scotland with her husband and two sons. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys reading and baking.
