Dr Julie Bayley wins INORMS Awards for Excellence in Research Management Leadership

The International Network of Research Management Societies (INORMS) Council has awarded Dr Julie Bayley the 2025 Awards for Excellence in Research Management Leadership.

The INORMS Awards for Excellence in Research Management Leadership have been established to recognise outstanding examples of research management leaders who have made substantial contributions to the research management profession internationally. Award winners are not only leaders in their own countries but leaders internationally. They are RMA professionals who have made substantial contributions to and advanced the understanding of the profession, who have shared their knowledge around the world and raised the profile of RMA outside our community.

Dr Bayley has tirelessly advocated for more responsible, inclusive and nuanced forms of impact literacy and healthy institutional practices for over 20 years. She translates scholarly expertise and rigour into accessible and no-nonsense messages that everyone can understand, making her one of the foremost thought leaders in her field. She is regularly called upon as a global speaker, collaborator and advisor on a wide range of impact literacy related initiatives, including engagements in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Denmark, and Canada. She has also made a significant contribution to both ARMA and INORMS activities.

Dr Bayley received the award from Lorna Wilson, chair of ARMA, during the ARMA Awards Ceremony at the National Museum of Scotland.
