ARMA members will know that the past twelve months have been a challenging time for the association and, in particular, the Executive Office. So you’ll know how delighted we are to be settling into a new office base, with a new Chief Operating Officer at the helm.
Hamish Macandrew has joined the team from the University of Edinburgh, and will be heading up the Executive Office, supported by Jo Somerville, our Senior Administrator, and Jess Vant, our Events Delivery Officer. Hamish can draw on his experience as Acting Treasurer for ARMA to continue our work on creating a sustainable basis for our activities and ensuring that members are at the heart of all our decisions. The team will soon be joined by a new administrator – more details about this opportunity to follow!
The whole team is also settling in to their new office base, alongside Universities Scotland and the Higher Education Academy in Holyrood House in Edinburgh. Sharing this space brings a number of benefits: the team can share ideas with colleagues in the sector, which we hope will bring benefits to our members; the space provides access to meeting rooms, which means the Executive Office can be more connected to our committee and Board members; and being in Edinburgh provides an excellent base from which to plan and host INORMS2018. And that’s without mentioning that it’s a more cost effective space, and is just opposite the Scottish Parliament and it’s multiple policy-makers!
We think this points firmly towards an ARMA Executive Office 2.0! Why not pop by and say hello?
