Great to meet everyone also.

I think it might have been my long journey home gave me the time to reflect on the day whilst it was fresh in my mind.

The morning was useful but a bit of a let down to me. I thought we would be going through the various modules so we knew exactly what was required for the compulsory modules & could make a more informed decision with the optional units.

The afternoon was a big disappointment to me. I thought it would give me the base materials for the first module. Instead we got promo material that could have be obtained from Leicester/Sussex website’s. It would have also been good to find out that the presenters were assessors earlier than the last 30 seconds – I certainly would have been picking their brains.

It would be good to hear from other’s to see if they feel the same.

I was also surprised that we didn’t need to fill a feedback form!!!

The food was good though!!!

I’ve sat down this evening in my ‘study’ to commence my research for my first unit (Phone & facebook removed from the room, procrastinating on the forum instead!) The reading list for the unit on HE Research Funding Environment, looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2014/15 – I recon we might have to figure out our own additional reading list since Brexit.

I’d like to remain positive about the induction session as it was an (the only?) opportunity to meet our peers and the catering top notch, however I did feel the morning sessions didn’t contribute any further information than what was already available within the handbook. Wasn’t sure what to make of the afternoon, was ok.
