Event Details
Applications for ARMA’s annual mentoring programme have now opened. Are you interested in applying but not sure if it is for you? Come along to our free information session to find out more.
Aimed at aspiring mentors and mentees, this session is open to members and non-members, but you need to be an ARMA member to apply to the mentoring programme.
Led by Sue Starbuck, chair of the ARMA Mentoring Working Group, attendees will learn more about what mentoring is, how the mentoring programme works and the commitment required of those taking part.
About the Programme
ARMA’s Mentoring Programme matches mentors and mentees for a period of 9 months. Those interested in being either a mentor or mentee are invited to complete an online application form, and our Mentoring Working Group will then create matches, based on particular areas of interest, development needs and particular circumstances and learning styles. Please note that geography will not be taken into account during the matching process.
Those selected will be invited to take part in our online induction event, where mentors and mentees will be introduced to each other and have the opportunity of discussing their needs and requirements as well as receive hints and tips on how to get the most out of a mentoring relationship. Mentor/mentee pairs will be expected to meet at least 3 times over the course of the scheme, proportionate to the mentoring goals agreed; meetings can take place either virtually or in person as agreed within each pair.
