The Post-Award Special Interest Group will be organising a drop-in session on Wednesday the 8^th of May at 1 PM about the implications of the Tickell Review, which looked into reducing research bureaucracy, on the research administration profession and the challenges it creates.

The recently published government’s response to the review anticipates that for researchers and research institutions, the changes will accelerate research decisions and unlock time and cost savings whilst improving user experience. For funders, there will be improved efficiencies through reduced duplication of effort. Overall, it is hoped that it will make research a more attractive career proposition, helping attract and retain the talent required to cement the UK’s status as a Science and Technology superpower.
