Join us for an interactive session on REF Environment Statements (ES); how they are a useful tool in changing research culture, and how to make the most of them after submission, while there is the momentum.

The session will cover

• What have we learned – the good, the bad and the ugly
• How to get the most from the REF ES post submission
• Review of the burning REF ES questions. Please feel free to submit your questions in advance to events@arma.ac.uk

Pre-Attendance Work: Watch/Listen to ARMA Bite on Research Culture (login to the ARMA website and click here) and bring a copy of a recent local REF ES for practical exercises – these will not be shared with others but used for your own workings.

Speakers:

Anna Grey, University of York

Anna Grey is currently the Head of the Research Strategy and Policy Office and Deputy Head of Research Services at the University of York. When not focusing on strategy and policy development and implementation, she is the REF SIG Champion and a REF Panel Adviser.

Hilary Noone, Newcastle University

Hilary Noone is works at Newcastle University as a Research and Projects Officer working on REF Environment and Newcastle University Centres of Research Excellence (NUCoREs). She’s also ARMA’s lead for Research Culture.
