Where: Durham University, Calman Learning Centre (Lower Mountjoy site)
Cost: Free to attend. Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Capacity: Limited to 30 participants to ensure meaningful discussion and interaction.

Description
This in-person event, supported by ARMA and organised by the Research & Innovation Research Culture Special Interest Group, is designed to equip participants with practical tools and shared insights for evaluating research culture in UK institutions. The day will feature keynote talks, real-world case studies, and interactive workshops. Attendees will explore tested frameworks, learn from implementation experiences, and engage in collaborative discussions to develop actionable strategies for their own contexts.

Who should attend: Researchers, research managers and administrators, funders, and policy professionals with an interest in embedding evaluation methodologies into research culture strategies.

Should the number of people interested in attending this event exceed our capacity of 30 – we will use your answer to ‘what you are hoping to get out of the day’ as well as your institution to ensure a balanced mix and representation of organisations. If you’d like to attend, and you can secure your own travel / accommodation,  please submit your expression of interest by Tuesday, 9 December 2025. We’ll confirm attendance by Friday, 19 December 2025.
