Why Facilitation for Successful Collaboration?
Initiating and managing multi stakeholder and multi institutional collaborations are an increasingly important aspect of every Research Manager’s role, and with the complex global challenges and uncertain times – this is going to require even better facilitation skills.
We understand that you are having to work more closely with academic colleagues across all career stages and be adept at bringing together the right people with different expertise and perspectives to build collaborations, that hopefully will go on to win research funding. And this might not even be within your own institution – you are also having to build working relationships with industry, civic partners and community based organisations to gain their insights and form collaborations.
So we are keen to help you!
Facilitation for Successful Collaboration will focus on giving you the skills and approaches you need to enable all these different stakeholders to collaborate together and have meaningful discussions, develop novel ideas and engage in a way that delivers the outputs you need.
This programme is designed to give you the time and opportunity to reflect on your own experiences, learn from hearing the experiences of others and to give you simple frameworks and practical tools that you can tailor to your context and apply in both face-to-face, and virtual settings.
