Post-Award Finance Induction – Leeds

Categories ,

Event Details

This introduction to post award research grant management workshop aims to provide delegates with specific and practical understanding of post-award financial administration within a university research management environment. You will also have the opportunity to hear direct from a Research Grant Auditor about what they look for while auditing your projects and what mistakes post-award teams usually make. The session combines a mixture of delivered content, and activities and provides an opportunity to network with colleagues from other universities.

By the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Understand the overall context of post award grant administration from a university context.
  • Opportunity to hear from Research Grant Auditors about what they look for while auditing your projects, top grant audit issues and what mistakes post-award teams usually make
  • Have a good understanding of the financial administration lifecycle of research accounts from start to finish and have confidence to apply the knowledge gained in their role.
  • Understand the key risks at the post award stage and how to mitigate these.
  • Have had an opportunity to network with peers in similar roles from across the sector.

Find out more about what to expect from the session here.
