Event Details

Institutional Environment Statements are being piloted as part of REF 2021. Whilst they will not contribute to the REF grading, they will be read by UoA panels, in order to set the context for UoA level environment statements. Understanding the requirements for Institutional Environment Statements and the relationship to REF UoA submissions was an area of much discussion at the recent ARMA Annual Conference. This event, which arose from those discussions, is an opportunity to gain a better understanding of this pilot exercise and the relationship to the formal REF 2021 institutional submissions.

This event is aimed at research and impact managers in HEIs. It will provide an opportunity to hear from Kim Hackett, REF director and other guests, on the key points set out within the guidance and criteria for the Institutional Level Environment Pilot for REF 2021. There will be an opportunity to seek clarification on the guidelines and criteria and feedback any points to the REF team.
