The aim of this webinar is to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills in peer reviewing and writing Impact Case Study (ICSs) for REF2029
By the end of the webinar participants will:
- Be familiar with the REF2029 Engagement and Impact Guidance, Eligibility Criteria and ICS template
- Be familiar with the components of a high-quality ICS that make a material difference to the potential rating
- Have an improved understanding of reach and significance and how they are assessed and evidence.
This interactive session will cover:
- Technical requirements of REF impact, the impact case study template and the mistakes that might render a case study ineligible or unclassified
- Key characteristics of top-ranking impact case studies including gold standard examples from 4* case studies to highlight best practice
- How impact case studies are assessed and the expectations of impact across the different disciplines and panels
- How to give fair feedback and provide a reasoned potential ranking
In this course we will explore the REF2029 Engagement and Impact Module Guidance and discuss what makes an eligible and high-quality Impact Case Study. You will be provided with tools and approaches to support the development and review of impact case studies. You will have an opportunity to peer review impact case studies, discuss and share knowledge, experiences and expertise with your peers.
