Event Details
Following on from our call for discussion topics, we would like to invite Directors and Heads of Office to register their interest in participating in our two forthcoming virtual roundtables.
These events are designed to encourage confidential discussions and sharing of best practice, helping inform those taking part and aiding more holistic decision-making in the current environment.
Two topics have been identified for our first two events with further roundtables to be scheduled if members of the Director’s Forum find these discussions valuable.
The first of these virtual round tables will focus on ‘Use of the UK Government Furlough Scheme (the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme – CJRS)’
Specifically this discussion is aimed at sharing your responses to questions such as:
- Have institutions placed research office staff on furlough?
- What criteria are colleagues using to aid decision-making?
- How has this message been delivered/received by staff?
- How are you keeping staff engaged while they are on furlough?
- How are you planning on re-integrating staff returning from furlough?
We are inviting members of the Forum to also submit questions in advance in order to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to have their concerns addressed as part of the group discussion. If you would like to personally introduce a particular question then please let us know. Please email your questions to events@arma.ac.uk indicating clearly the Roundtable they are intended for.
Please note that these Roundtables are only for those at the level of Head, or Director, of Office.
There is no charge for either of these events.
