Event Details

Join colleagues from across the research impact community for an engaging and reflective half-day, in-person event focused on exploring current issues of relevance to the SIG members.

Following the recent update to REF guidance in December, the event will start with an invitation to look ahead to REF2029. Together, we’ll share concerns, exchange models of successful practice, and explore institutional approaches to Engagement & Impact that help teams feel supported and confident.

Experienced Impact practitioners will then lead a reflective roundtable on how impact has evolved as a distinct area of research management over the past decade, highlighting current trends as well as the skills and knowledge that have proved most valuable. Building on these insights, attendees will move into small group discussions with peers to explore collective professional development needs, feeding back ideas that will help shape future SIG priorities. Finally there will be time to discuss any other issues identified by the SIG members in advance of the session.
