Event Details
Wellcome aims to transform understanding of life, health, and wellbeing through curiosity-driven research across a diverse range of perspectives and contexts. Research into the social, cultural, and historical contexts of human health and disease, as well as into the needs, values and priorities of the people and communities affected by disease and health disparities, is an essential part of this. Arts and humanities research is an integral aspect of Wellcome’s portfolio of funding, and so engagement with this research community and those who support is an important part of the Discovery Research team’s role.
In this session, members of the Discovery Research team at Wellcome will talk about the funding offered by their department and the opportunities for arts and humanities research. They will answer questions about the assessment process and what makes a good application to Wellcome, but they are also keen to hear your feedback on Wellcome and its schemes. The session is part of Wellcome Discovery Research’s wider engagement with the arts, humanities, and social science community.
The meeting will take place on Thursday 12th October, 2-4pm, and will be hosted online. There is a pre-meeting survey to help make sure that the meeting is as useful and informative for attendees as possible. You can find that survey here: https://forms.office.com/e/JBhBdGndR4
