Deborah McGuchan
| I am a Senior Research Development Officer at the University of Sussex, leading a team of Research Development Officers and Administrators, supporting an interdisciplinary mix of Schools at Sussex. I joined Sussex in 2008 as a Business Development Manager, before the merger of the Research and Business Development teams in 2012. I come from a business, technical and academic background. I graduated in Chemistry from University College London and stayed on to complete a PhD before leaving to start my working life in a small scientific computing company. From there, I joined a large multi-national organisation, gaining over 8 years’ experience in IT development and project management. This led directly to an Associate Lecturer position at the School of Management, University of Surrey, specialising in e-business strategy, project and information management. From there, I re-joined the multi-national, branching out into data modelling, as well as change and communications management. |
