Andrea is Research Strategy Manager and REF Lead for the arts, humanities and social sciences at the University of Cambridge. After previously studying Human Geography, Andrea gained her PhD in Sociology from the University of Edinburgh, subsequently working on large ESRC and ERC projects as both a post-doc researcher and project manager. For REF 2021 she designed and managed an administrative team supporting 17 UoAs (1000+ researchers) at Cambridge. She was seconded to Research England from 2018 to 2022 as part of the panel secretariat, firstly supporting a wide range of sub-panels during the panel criteria setting stage, and then sub-panels 21 and 24 during the assessment phase. Andrea is leading administrative preparations for REF 2029 for the Schools of Arts and Humanities and the Humanities and Social Sciences, while also managing strategic research initiatives and their delivery.
