Andrew is Head of Research & Innovation Support and Governance within Research & Innovation Services at the University of Kent. Research & Innovation Services was created in 2020 as a merger of the University’s Research Services and Innovation & Enterprise units. Andrew’s role covers the research & innovation operations functions (pre-award, contracts and post-award) as well as research policy, governance and management information.  Andrew originally started in a technology transfer role at the Open University in 2008 before moving to the University of Oxford as a contracts officer and then progressing to manage a grants support team. Following this, he moved to the University of Kent in 2013, where he has held roles as the Grants & Contracts Manager, Deputy Director of Research Services, Head of Operations for Research & Innovation Services and his current role.
