Gareth is currently the Associate Director for Funding Assurance at UKRI where he is responsible for the UKRI Counter-Fraud function. Prior to that he was Head of Funding Assurance at UKRI with responsibility for providing assurance to the 7 Research Councils’ Accounting Officers on the regularity of expenditure on research grants, fellowships and studentships for a budget in excess of £2bn a year.
