Dr Jennifer Hazelton is Director of Research Strategy, Development and Impact at the University of Edinburgh. An experienced senior leader, Jen has been Head of Research Funding at the University of Edinburgh since 2022, taking up the Interim Director role in January 2025. Previously Senior Research Facilitator and Associate Director of Research Coordination for the Built Environment, Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences Faculties at UCL, she has undertaken secondments at EPSRC and as a Business Partner for UCL Research and Innovation Services. Her undergraduate degree and short research career were hosted by Newcastle University, where she also project managed an EU Aid Cooperation funded international project.
