Jo has a BA Joint Honours in English & Philosophy from the University of Leeds, a Master’s degree in Renaissance Studies from the University of Sussex, and a DPhil in Renaissance Culture, also from the University of Sussex. Her research explored the representational techniques used by early modern French travellers and writers to describe and comment on the New World. While not an obvious preparation for a career in strategy, Jo firmly believes that the skills she developed during her studies – in research, analysis and critical thinking – have been fundamental to her career.

Away from the office, Jo enjoys reading, photography, carving, sewing and being out in the woods. She is passionate about gender equality.
