Joe is a Senior Impact Manager at EPSRC. One of his main responsibilities is embedding impact across the organisation. This work has led to the development of a consultation focusing on impact in research applications, and how impact development activities are being embedded into proposals. Jo also works on harmonizing the Impact Accelerator Accounts across UKRI, specifically managing the EPSRC IAA, which allows institutes to respond to impact opportunities in more flexible, responsive, and creative ways. Jo previously worked at Research England, here his focus was on supporting a healthy research environment. This led him to work on the Future Research Assessment Programme which aims to evaluate REF2021 and explore possible approaches to the assessment of UK higher education research performance.
