William Mitchell
| William Mitchell joined the University of Liverpool in 2016 as Strategic Projects and Partnerships Manager (International). William provides research policy support for international and development-oriented collaborations and partnerships. Prior to this he was Director of International Development at the University of Bradford, responsible for the International Office and the university internationalisation strategy and worked on the World Technology Universities Network and the University of Sanctuary. As Head of Partnerships in the International Office at the University of Warwick he explored the core partnership approach, notably with Monash University.
He was Director of Education for the British Council (BC) in China and managed the Sino-UK HE collaboration programme between HEFCE and the Chinese Ministry of Education covering policy, governance and leadership issues. He also worked for BC in the UK advising on trans-national education and distance learning to countries including: Singapore, Cuba, Serbia, Trinidad & Tobago, the Palestinian Territories, Sri Lanka, and Romania. William was a senior lecturer in Computing at Manchester Metropolitan University researching virtual education environments and ethnographic approaches to system design. |
