After successfully running the pilot for our new-look Mentoring Scheme, we are delighted to announce that we are now taking in applications to our re-launched programme!
How does the scheme work?
ARMA’s mentoring scheme works as a matching service for mentors and mentees. Those interested in being either a Mentor or Mentee are invited to complete on-line application forms, and a subset of ARMA’s Professional Development Committee then will look to create matches, based on particular areas of interest, development needs, location and particular circumstances, and learning styles. Applicants applying to be a mentor may be required to take part in a short conference call as part of the matching process.
Those selected will be required to attend our Mentoring Induction Day on Wednesday 9 October 2019 (9.30 – 16.30) in York, where mentors and mentees will be introduced to each other and have the opportunity of discussing their needs and requirements as well as receive hints and tips on how to get the most out of a mentoring relationship.
Interested in taking part?
You are now able to apply online via our website. Please note that a condition of applying is that you are able to attend the Mentoring Induction Day on 9 October 2019 in York.
Applications will need to be in by Friday 23 August 2019 to be considered. They will then be reviewed and successful applicants will be contacted by Friday 20 September 2019. More information will then be provided about the Mentoring Induction Day. Mentoring pairs are matched based on particular areas of interest, development needs, location, particular circumstances, and learning styles. A mentor may therefore not necessarily be in a more senior position than the mentee.
