The ARMA annual conference promotes excellence in research management and administration by celebrating best practice across the sector. It is ARMA’s flagship networking, learning and professional development event.
Planning is now underway for the ARMA 2027 conference, and we invite members and stakeholders to share their views on the topics and issues that should shape next year’s programme. Your input will support the Conference Working Group in developing a high-quality, relevant programme that reflects current priorities and emerging challenges for the research management community.
To provide context, the focus areas for the ARMA 2026 Conference included:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Funding development and delivery: inclusive, international and interdisciplinary research
- Governance and ethics, including Trusted Research and RRI
- Post-award management
- Professional development of research management professionals
- Research culture
- Research Excellence Framework (REF)
- Research impact
- Strategic thinking, change management, adaptation and efficiency
- Other / emerging themes
These are shared for reference only. We particularly welcome suggestions that reflect new developments, best practice, evolving policy landscapes, skills gaps or emerging pressures within the sector. Please complete this short form by Sunday 12 July 2026.
