Council transition to the new UKRI Funding Service – Update

Do you know that in 2023, grant applications to research councils will start to be made via the new UKRI Funding Service rather than the Joint Electronic Submission (Je-S) system?

This transition is part of UKRI’s Simpler and Better Funding (SBF) programme’s work to create a single, consistent and user-centred service – making applying for funding easier for everyone.

Councils will give researchers and research organisations the information they need to plan in good time for the transition to the Funding Service. Further information on the changes councils are making to their opportunities are available on the UKRI website.  

Today, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) have published updates about their timeline for transitioning their ‘open’ responsive mode opportunities, including the opening dates for the first rounds on the new Funding Service.
