Vacancies – ARMA Professional Development Committee and Training and Development Working Group

We currently have two vacancies on both our Professional Development Committee and Training and Development Working Group.

Our Professional Development Committee reports directly to our Board of Directors and sets the strategic direction for all professional development activities, informed by the work of relevant planning and working groups (including training and development, qualifications and mentoring). The Committee is currently chaired by ARMA Director Saskia Walcott.

Our Training and Development Working Group is an operational group that was established by ARMA’s Professional Development Committee to oversee, plan, deliver and quality-assure ARMA’s very popular and comprehensive Training & Development Programme. In addition to creating a rolling programme of webinars, workshops and recorded material, the Working Group also makes recommendations for the programme’s improvement and development, ensuring that the programme is relevant to our community. The T&D Working Group is currently led by ARMA Director, Alison Lloyd, and the Working Group reports to the Professional Development Committee.

To ensure as diverse a representation as possible, these vacancies are open to all career stages and not just those in senior management positions. Appropriate training, mentoring and support will be provided for all successful applicants.

ARMA is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion. It is a strategic priority for us to improve representation within our organisation. We particularly welcome applications from groups who are underrepresented within our community. We are committed to taking active steps within our recruitment process to reduce bias and minimise barriers to application and participation. We offer a range of adjustments throughout the process to enable full participation. If there is anything further we can do, we encourage you to get in touch.

These roles, which commence as soon as possible, are unpaid. Members are appointed on a 3-year basis (with an option for a second term).
