We are excited to announce Dr Ben Steyn as a keynote speaker at ARMA 2024. Ben is Head of Metascience at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). He is co-head of the DSIT/UKRI Metascience Unit and advises on other R&D policy areas across the department.
Before his current role, Ben spent three years as Head of Policy for the creation of the UK Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA) and subsequently worked within it as a founding member. He is a visiting postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Philosophy, School of Advanced Study, University of London; where he is part of the London AI and Humanity Project, aiming to improve the quality of public and academic debate on AI. He holds a PhD in Philosophy and Political Science.
Ben joins Professor Charlotte Deane in the line-up of plenary speakers for the conference.
ARMA 2024 will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel, from 18 – 19 June 2024. The annual conference brings together professionals from research management and the wider research community to connect, learn and share knowledge through a mix of plenary and parallel sessions, poster presentations, commercial exhibition and networking opportunities.
