Hi Folks,
I have an academic claiming that some institutes (friends have told them!) are able to turn round a grant agreement (with legal review and authorised signature) within 24 hours of first notification and with zero prior information.
I suspect that this is not true, but it would be helpful if people could confirm the ballpark average time taken for a simple agreement to be processed.
By simple, I mean one where the review highlights no issues and it is simply a case of accepting the agreement – but where the funder is non-standard and not, for example a Research council or well used charity.
I hope that helps, and any comments would be greatly appreciated.
For reference, this process at Bradford would take at least a week, to progress through a legal review of the agreement and then on to signature, as we have to have the agreement signed by a member of senior management (DVC or Head of finances etc).
Many thanks
Richard
