    Hi there,

I wonder if you can help me?

We are currently reviewing our institutional guidance around research in educational establishments and in research involving children. I’m interested in learning more about best practice in other institutions and would be grateful for any feedback or guidance you would be able to share around this.

Specifically, I would like to hear about how your institutions manage informed consent as part of, for example, an UG/PGT teaching course (either modular or as part of a dissertation) or in PGR and staff research. Additionally, do you have any guidance around assent, the continued assessment of willingness to participate, and right to withdraw within these settings?

With respect to the involvement of children in all other research environments; do your institutions have any guidance around who can sign consent forms?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

    With warm regards,

    Alison
