National Research Administrator Day 2026: Help us put the profession centre stage

On Friday 25 September 2026, ARMA invites you to celebrate National Research Administrator Day, an annual observance recognising the people whose expertise, dedication and support help make research possible.

Research administrators, managers, leaders and professional support staff play a vital role across the research landscape, yet much of this work is unseen. National Research Administrator Day provides an important opportunity to create a moment of collective pride, recognition and visibility for the profession.

This year, ARMA is inviting the community to take centre stage.

Our goal is simple: on 25 September, we would love to see social media feeds across the sector filled with stories, experiences and messages celebrating research administration.

Whether you’re reflecting on your career, highlighting an achievement or explaining what being a research administrator means to you, we encourage you to share a post on social media to help shine a spotlight on the profession and the impact of the dedicated individuals working within it. One of the most powerful ways to participate is to honour a colleague and share why their contribution matters.

How to take part

On 25 September, publish your post on social media and help create a sector-wide celebration of the people behind research administration.

ARMA will be re-sharing your contributions throughout the day. To help us find and amplify your content, don’t forget to:
