The Conference Working Group (CWG) was established to facilitate the development of a high quality, innovative and topical programme for ARMA’s annual conference. We are looking for two new members to join the working group.
As a CWG member, you will be involved in developing the programme, refining the abstract submission process, identifying speakers and potential sessions and aiding the smooth running of the conference, including chairing sessions. New members will also be involved in the development of a programme for ARMA 2026 and beyond.
CWG members are appointed on a three-year basis with an option to renew for a second term. The working group meets four times a year, once in-person and others via teleconference. Please read the CWG Terms of Reference for more information about the activities and remit of the working group.
We are interested in hearing from all members of the UK research professional community including those working in higher education, research institutes, independent research organisations, public sector research establishments, Catapult centres, NHS bodies, research funders/government departments and charitable organisations, including Trusts and Foundations. We are particularly seeking members based in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
To express interest, contact Amaka Nwagbara Amaka.Nwagbara@arma.ac.uk (subject line: ‘Conference Working Group vacancies’) with a short CV and a supporting statement (no more than 400 words) summarising why you are interested in joining the working group, what you think you could bring to the role. Please note you are not required to be an ARMA member at the time of application, but successful applicants will be required to join ARMA before serving on the working group.
If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity or would like an informal chat, please contact Amaka.Nwagbara@arma.ac.uk. The vacancies are open to all career stages and appropriate guidance, mentoring and support will be provided for all successful applicants.
The closing date for expressions of interest is Thursday 28 August 2025.
