Last week, our Special Interest Group (SIG) Champions came together in Leeds for the biannual SIG Champions Forum, a valuable opportunity for collaboration and forward planning across the SIG community. Chaired by Vanessa Cuthill, Chair of the Member Engagement Committee, the day brought together Champions from across all SIGs to share good practice, reflect on achievements and shape priorities for the year ahead.
The programme featured a series of rapid‑fire talks showcasing innovative SIG activities, from topical policy sessions and joint events with external partners, to member surveys and creative approaches to community engagement. These highlights reflected the breadth and energy of SIG work over the past year. Champions also took part in facilitated breakout discussions, exploring shared challenges, offering peer support and developing practical actions to strengthen future SIG activity.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our SIG Champions for their dedication and hard work throughout 2025 and into 2026. Your leadership, creativity and commitment continue to strengthen our community, enrich the member experience and ensure SIGs remain a vital source of insight, connection and professional development.
