World Menopause & Work Day – 7 September 2021

To mark the first-ever World Menopause & Work Day, a new Menopause and Work Charter (link: https://www.emas-online.org/menopause-and-work-charter/) has been launched at the 13th European Menopause and Andropause Society (EMAS) congress. The Menopause and Work Charter is an initiative of the EMAS to promote the recognition and consideration of menopausal health in the workplace as part of broader frameworks and policies on wellness, gender and age equality in the corporate culture. The Menopause and Work Charter can be signed by companies, associations, foundations, institutions from the public sector or other bodies.

At this year’s ARMA conference (5 – 7 October), Steph Bales, Saskia Walcott and Margaret Rees will be delivering a session entitled ‘Talking Menopause: What Managers and Employers Need to Know‘. During the session Steph Bales and Saskia Walcott will be sharing how menopause has affected their working lives. Professor Margaret Rees, Executive Director of the European Menopause and Andropause Society, will give insights into how employers can support the careers of menopausal women. She will also present new global consensus recommendations on menopause in the workplace from the European Menopause and Andropause Society. To find out more about this session or to register for the conference, click here
