Advisory Board Members sought for new Research England-funded Due Diligence Project

Call for Expressions of interest for ARMA Due Diligence project advisory board members

You may have seen yesterday’s exciting announcement that ARMA have been awarded project funding from Research England for a further stage of our due diligence work. “Efficiency, Equity, Quality and Security in International Research Collaboration” will revisit the recommendations of our first project to bring an enhanced focus on security and Trusted Research. Through engagement with a broad range of stakeholders the project seeks to understand current challenges with operationalising due diligence and the requirements of Trusted Research, the feasibility of a clearing house and national service as part of the solution to these issues, the likely demand for such a service, and associated risks and benefits.

We are looking for two ARMA members with a good understanding of these issues to join the project advisory board where they will provide feedback and challenge assumptions, documentation and ideas produced by the project team. The board will meet approximately 4 times over the period May – October 2022 and draft terms of reference can be found here.

If you can help us support this important work, please submit a statement of up to 300 words to eva@arma.ac.uk highlighting relevant skills and experience, and why you would like to be involved. We welcome applications from all ARMA members with relevant experience, at any level of seniority and from any kind of organisation. We particularly welcome applications from individuals based in Northern Ireland or Wales and smaller institutions, as these communities are not currently represented on our advisory board.
