Rebecca Fairbairn became Director of REF2029 in September 2023, following four years in New Delhi as Director of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) India. Rebecca has worked with research councils and UKRI since 2005, covering roles in research funding, knowledge exchange, big data, postgraduate training, governance and evaluation.
