Dr Sarah Whalley is International Research Development Manager at Queen’s University Belfast. In this role, she is responsible for developing and leading a strategic approach to interdisciplinary research funding. She supports collaboration, proposal development, and engagement with major funders. Sarah was previously Research Strategy Manager at Newcastle University where she developed University Centres of Research Excellence, and managed other strategic projects that enabled interdisciplinarity and collaboration, and that grew the University's research portfolio. She holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Nottingham, and the APM Project Management Qualification.
