[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Summary
As the country moves closer to the date of Brexit and there is, so far, no certainty that the UK and the EU will achieve a deal acceptable to the UK Parliament, the time has come for research institutions to prepare for the consequences and realities of a no deal Brexit.
This workshop offers research contracts, research operations, legal, compliance and commercial professionals a view of the key issues that may affect the research landscape in 2019 following a Brexit deal or, in the worst case scenario, a no-deal Brexit, including practical and commercial advice, solutions and tips to prepare for these potential issues.
What You Will Learn
This workshop will cover the following:
- a summary of key Brexit issues that may affect the research landscape in 2019, including immigration, funding and intellectual property;
- practical tips for preparing research contracts considering key Brexit issues;
- how to prepare your institution for a No-Deal Brexit; and
- an interactive workshop sharing ideas on preparing your processes, systems and contracts for any Brexit scenario.
