Building research collaborations: Keeping it fresh

Bringing together researchers to generate new ideas that lead to lasting, productive partnerships can be a non-trivial task involving a lot of behind-the-scenes work. We highlight what research enablers can do to engineer successful outcomes.

Anne Priest supports academics submitting research grants and building effective relationships with external stakeholders as a Programme Manager for AI, Data Science and Robotics at the University of Bristol. Previously, Anne was a Programme Officer at the Natural Environment Research Council.

Caroline Ang develops industrial and cross-disciplinary research relationships at the University of Bath’s Institute for Mathematical Innovation. She was Bath’s first EU research development manager and previously worked in the Republic of Ireland supporting research in the higher education sector.

Laura Wisby trains and supports academics as a Research Development Manager at the University of Bath. Prior to her Research Development role, Laura was a Board Manager at the Medical Research Council managing the peer review process for the Populations and Systems Medicine Board.
